What is an edible landscape?

Edible Landscapes are made up of fruits, vegetables, edible flowers, and culinary herbs. Dallas Design & Exteriors designs and installs edible landscapes in raised cedar or stone beds, existing flower beds, and containers for any spaces. Each edible garden design is customized with the household's preferred produce. We provide the best quality plants and organic materials for every garden. Our edible landscapes are known for their unique colors and textures. Tired of critters running off with your fresh produce? Our staff offers custom, walk-in critter proof cages to protect your crops from bunnies, squirrels, and pets. We strongly recommend drip irrigation for every edible landscape. The edible crops enjoy a deep watering with no overhead spraying by sprinkler heads. We do not provide irrigation with our edible installations but we will be happy to refer you to an irrigation technician who can set up an automated drip system for your landscape.

Maintenance

Are you someone with a "black thumb?" Not to worry, DD&E provides a full-service maintenance program for every edible landscape. The bi-weekly maintenance visit includes weeding, pruning, removal of dead plant matter, fertilization, pest control, disease control, and harvesting (picking) the ripe produce & culinary herbs. At the end of each maintenance visit our clients will receive an "Edible Arrangement" created with items that were harvested during their maintenance visit.

The cost of edible garden maintenance starts at $85.00/per visit, depending on the size and quantity of gardens within in the landscape.
